to this problem,
I have a new Toshiba Laptop with WIN 8 pre-installed and I have the same problem. I ran the problem determination program and it reset the WiFi card and reported problem fixed. It keeps reoccurring, I have 2 WIN 7 laptops that have no problem at all.
Symptom: During normal operation, the wireless connection to the router drops to limited connection (No Internet). It doesn't actually lose the router, it just loses internet connectivity.
Update - visited the Intel website to check drivers. They had an updated driver, even though the driver search said I was current. I updated the driver and 24 hours later I have not had any drops. Hopefully that fixed it for me. http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/wireless
