Windows 8 wifi not responding hp dv6t 7000 quad

My wifi adapter has not been responding since upgrading to Win 8. The F12 key (wifi hotkey) has been verified as working but does not change wifi on or off. I have updated, uninstalled and reinstalled every driver from Hp and searched every forum on how to fix my problem, then accidentally realized that after waking from sleep mode it recognized all of the drivers and wifi was enabled. ALTHOUGH after a reboot from shut down/hibernate/restart; the drivers are no longer recognized and the general settings also keep turning the wifi off in PC Settings.

Please respond with any solutions to this problem soon as it is incredibly frustrating.

Thanks

Hi I have the same issue.

Brand new dv6t-7000 Hp laptop. Installed Win 8 and the wifi does not work.

My model has  Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230. I ran the Intel® PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility version 15.5.6 to upgrade the drivers but it has not fixed the problem.

I am also seeing two unknown devices in the device manager, but the wireless adaptor appears to be working.

This is very frustrating as most solutions require internet access to fix.
