Windows 8 dual monitor stuck on secondary monitor

I have a Dell desktop computer and was trying to set up dual monitors.  Now it seems dual monitor is set to secondary monitor with only primary monitor hooked up.  How do I change back to primary monitor. My only working monitor screen is blank.

My only working monitor screen is blank.

yes, I did try Win+P, enter; Win+P arrow up, down, enter many times and nothing changes.

Also tried restarting a few times and entering my password blindly, the win key+p, enter and arrow up,down, side to side and still get a blank screen.

Do you have anything bootable so that you can get into the Windows Startup Settings screen?  (E.g. to request Enable low-resolution video mode there.)

read the article and don't see an option for my situation.  I don't get anything on the screen and system doesn't automatically go into boot option menu as explained.

What do you mean by "(E.g. to request Enable low-resolution video mode there.)"?
