Upgraded Dell XPS 13 to Windows 8 -- having trouble with keyboard and mouse

I am using a Dell XPS 13 from a year ago along with a Dell monitor (P2412H). When I had Windows 7, I had connected one of the USB ports on my PC to the monitor so that I could use the USB hub that came with the monitor. On the monitor, I connected the wireless receiver for my Microsoft keyboard and mouse (Wireless keyboard 800 and Wireless Mouse 1000).

Last night I upgraded to Windows 8 and now I am seeing a) jumpy mouse cursor and b) randomly, some keys getting pressed continuously.

I removed the wireless receiver from the monitor and attached it directly to my PC's USB port and it seemed to be working fine, which leads me to believe there is something with the monitor's USB driver that may be the issue.

I updated all the firmware/driver/software and am kind of hitting a dead-end.

Anything else I can try?

Hi,

I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the USB drivers for monitor from Device Manager and check.

a) Press Windows Key + R, type devmgmt.msc.

b) Expand the USB controllers, click on the drivers.

c) Click on properties, click on uninstall tab.

d) Click OK.
