What version of Adobe are you using?  Try updating then print

It can be difficult to trace the source of a printing problem. The suggestions below represent the most common solutions. The solutions are grouped into three categories:

It's not a setting and there is no solution.  The "Adobe Reader" app from Adobe on the Windows Store cannot print.  To fix this problem, leave a review with your thoughts on not being able to print, and then uninstall the app (go to search, type in reader, right click on the adobe reader app with your right mouse button (doesn't work with finger) and choose uninstall.  Then reopen your pdf file, and the built in reader from MSFT will open the file and you can print (swipe from the right, choose devices, and your printer will show up!)

Frenemies like Adobe is something that Windows 8 doesn't need. I can't imagine the bad will that went into the decision to frustrate customers with a read-only experience that cannot save or print.

Are you saying the Adobe maliciously did this, and by uninstalling the Adobe Reader, I would THEN be able to print from the MS Reader app?? Because at the moment I can't print from the MS Reader app either!

You cannot print saved pdf files. You must open the file to print it. Control + P will work then.

I found a quick fix for this situation, open the same directory in your browser.

for eg: if the file is in documents type in or copy the address(C:\Users\Name\Documents) in your browser.

Locate the pdf file open it there and then you can print the pages through your browser.

PS:sometimes it may just download the file,if it does download it try having installed some extensions to view the file online. And if even that doesnt work, well then you are on your own buddy.
