My touchscreen won't work with Windows 8 Why?

I just installed the Windows 8 release 8 Relase Preview on my Dell XPS 15 and I ordered the upgraded display with multi-touch.  When I tap my screen the system doesn't respond to any touches I have to use my touchpad or an external mouse.  The touchscreen works in Windows 7 which is what the system came with.  The only compatibility warning I got when the installer did the check was that it may not be as responsive but it said that I should be able to use it.  I did an upgrade install and moved all my files apps, and settings over.  Any help is appreciated.

Answer

OK. You installed Windows 8 and the compatibility warning was correct in detecting a possible problem but incorrect as to the extent of the problem. Contact Dell about Win 8 drivers for the tourch screen.

Good luck.
