I am experiencing a video lag, poor quality while watching Netflix, and other videos. Like frame stutter or something.
Windows was unable to install video controller, so it is not installed at this point.Manufacturer unknown? So I cannot get driver software support at this time.
Where do I start? I have a feeling it's a driver problem.
Hi
You need to download and install the latest Windows 8 compatible driver for that device.
From the Desktop, presss the WinKey + R to display the Run dialog.
Type msinfo32 and click OK.
In the System Information window, click to expand the Components section on the left side.
Select the Display item.
This will show all of the information for the installed Video device.
Copy the Adapter Type, Adapter Description, and Driver Version.
Paste that information in a reply here and we can guide you further.

Hi
You need to copy/paste the old way in msinfo32.
Click a line to Select it. On the Menu bar, click Edit/Copy.
You can open Notepad and paste all of the lines, select all of the lines you copied there and copy/paste them in your reply.

Hi
It looks like the original problem with the Video Controller not being recognized is the problem.
When this happens Windows will install a basic, generic, video driver that gives you the basic VGA display.
The version---6.2.9200.16384 item is the version number for Windows 8. This is likely the reason for the 'lag' that you are experiencing.
I would recommend that you check the documentation for the computer to determine which video adapter is installed. You can also go to the support website for the computer manufacture and look up the Model number for that computer to determine which Graphics Adapter is installed. You can also check for the latest driver for that device.
