I am using a dekstop computer. I want to upgrade to windows 8 but the RAM is 512 MB.My question is :can i upgrade to windows 8 with 512mb ram anyway
Answer
Answer

I would not, given that it's quite likely that any computer that old fails to meet most, if not all, of the other minimum requirements for Windows 8.  System requirements:

Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant:

See Richard Harper's reply and also read here,
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/system-requirements,
which tells you that you need at least 1GB.

And even 1GB isn't enough for decent performance with almost any
applications you might run. It's been a long time since 512MB has been
enough for decent performance with any version of Windows.
