I have problem with install with Windows 8. I dont want to buy new printer. There is any chance to use this printer Lexmark 6570 with Windows 8,

Hi,

 

You should be able to get it to work by setting the Compatibility Mode of "SETUP" on the Lexmark installation CD to Win 7 or possibly XP SP2 or 3 depending on how new the model is.

 

　

It probably has more features than anything you will download...mine turned out that way.

 

　

To find setup on the CD, select Open or Explore instead of just running it.

 

　

Then right click on SETUP and select Properties...Compatibility Tab is at the top.

 

　

Part way down is a Compatibility Mode check box and a drop down option list.

 

　

I used XP SP3 with a X5340 and it worked.

 

　

IMPORTANT...

If you have previously tried to install the printer, REMOVE it from your system in Devices and Printers before uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

You should be able to if you use the above method to install it...It has worked for most everyone that has tried it....

Your advice that I can instell Windows 7, or XP   dont resolve my problem....
I ask you  -   Printer Lexmark 6570 can works with Windows 8,  Windows 8 ????
my new PC has   Windows 8.      grace, your answer it is not for me.

You are not understanding what I am trying to tell you...I say nothing about installing XP or Win 7...

 

I am suggesting that you use use a feature included in Win 8 that tricks your Lexmark software into thinking Windows 8 is actually a different OS...I used XP and Win 7 as examples that should work for you...

 

Put your Lexmark CD in your computer and follow my first instructions...then you will better understand what I am trying to tell you...

 

Do a search on the internet for "Win 8 Compatibility Mode" if you still don't understand..
