Error "The port to which the printer is connected is not supported. Check the port." when installing Canon LBP3500.

Original Title: canon lbp3500 with windows 8 x64

 

I have just using Windows 8 x64 on my Vaio and have difficulties installing  Canon LBP3500 Printer with the latest driver Version : 3.30.0.0 [21/10/2012] .

The error I get is "The port to which the printer is connected is not supported. Check the port.", and I have no idea how to check a port for a printer.

Please help me how to broke my problem. txs

Hi,

 

I would first suggest you to verify all the cable connection of the printer with the computer and make sure that they are done in accordance with the installation instructions that came with the printer. If the connections are perfect, the try installing the latest drivers for the printer from this link:
