CanoScan Lide 25 WIA incompatible with Windows 8 how to resolve

I have upgraded to Windows 8, big mistake. The drivers for my Canon Cano Scan Lide 25 aren't compatible. How do I resolve.

  1. Return to Windows 7
  2. Replace the scanner with something compatible
  3. Pay for Vuescan.. http://www.hamrick.com/

 

I use Vuescan to keep my Canon Lide 30 alive. It works for either 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 8. There is a trial version..

Windows 10 Pro - Start10 - part of a local network which is a '3rd party optimizer-free' zone..
