bluetooth greyed out on windows 8

I'm using an Acer Aspire v3-771g notebook running windows 8. The Bluetooth "switch" is greyed out. Now I've updated the drivers, ran the trouble shooter, done services.msc  etc. My Bluetooth works fine on my win7 installed on the other partition but for some reason win8 doesn't want to detect my Bluetooth on my laptop. So how can I (or you) fix this?
