Hi Richard,

I understand that the headset “AudioFX Pro 5+1 by BenHeck” is not working in your Widows 8 computer.

1.    Have you tried with different USB ports?

2.    Are you able to use others external devices using these USB ports?

3.    Are you getting any error message when you connect the headset to the computer?

4.    Have you made any recent changes to the computer?

You can follow the link mentioned below to check the compatibility of the device with Windows 8. You can enter the correct model number and then try to check the compatibility.

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/win8/CompatCenter/Home

You can perform the following troubleshooting steps if you find the headset is compatible with Windows 8.

Method 1:

You may try running the Hardware and Device troubleshooter and check if it helps.
a. Press Windows Key +R, type Control Panel.
b. Type troubleshooting in the search bar, click on troubleshooting.
c. Click on Hardware and Sound, click on Hardware and Devices.
d. Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2:

You can login to the manufacturer’s website and check if there are any updated drivers available for the headset. You can install the device in compatibility mode if the drivers for Windows 8 are not available.

You can follow the link given below to install the driver in compatibility mode.

I'm late to this thread but I was able to get mine working by using some driver scan software.

The one I used was slim drivers.
