Can't open Age of Empires 3 on Windows 8 Pro x64 because of missing dlls and miss-locate........

I was so boring that I re-installed Age Empire 3 onto my Windows 8 PC, but a series of .dll missing including "netman.dll", "eapolqec.dll", "wzcsapi.dll", "wzcsvc.dll"  and at last "Can't locate HrIsIpStateCheckingEnabled" from "netman.dll" have appear. I go search for answers from Google. Some forum suggest to download and relocate the dll, but it doesn't work
What should I do? Any answers?

I have tried doing what you suggested and tried on many x64 based windows machine, including upgrading the game to the latest version. They all failed to open Age of Empire but x32 based windows can. Some people said that is MSXML 4.0 error problem. I tried to download one from Microsoft to try to fix the problem. But link error, 'can't download the files.......... So any other suggestions

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

It does show that Microsoft Age of Empires 3 is compatible on Windows 8.
For reference:

I would suggest you to try installing the game in Windows Vista SP1 or Windows XP SP3 and check if it helps.

a) Right click on the Age Of Empires 3 shortcut, select properties go to the compatibility Mode tab check mark it then select Windows Vista SP1 or Windows XP SP3. Then click OK.
b) Restart the game and check.

I hope it helps. If you have any issues regarding Windows in future please let us know. We will be happy to help you.
