1. Which uploader you are referring to?
Please follow the methods and check if it works fine.
Method 1:
Perform disk Defragmenting and check.

If this does not work move the data to any other drive and check if it works.
Method 2:
Since the external hard drive is working on different computer, I suggest you to backup the data on the external hard drive and then format it.
You may also perform a clean boot and check if program or service is causing the problem.
