Windows 8 Mail app update messed up my inbox

After installing the very latest app updates, my Mail app shows blank mail items that I cannot delete (the trash can icon does not show up when I select them).  I read somewhere that disabling the network adaptor would allow me to delete the mail items but it's not working for this situation.

I'm having this issue on 2 computers (desktop and tablet).  Here is a screenshot!2549&authkey=!AHKSNo0oqqafe7c

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  It is not preventing me from sending or receiving mails but it's annoying to have them there and not be able to do anything about it.

Hello David,

I was not able to access the screenshot via the link in your post.

I have several questions regarding this issue.

  • Do you see multiple items in your message list blank?
  • Do you see items in a conversation thread blank?
  • Do you see your whole message list blank?

Please attempt to uninstall and re-install Mail to see if this addresses the problem.
