Windows XP no longer supported

I read recently that Microsoft will no longer support or update XP Pro. My OS favorite. I purchased Win 7 PRO as a replacement. My question is about the support of XP Mode in Win 7. Will this XP version be supported? I have added several programs to the XP Mode and they work better than in Win 7, however NOT all programs that worked with XP Pro work in XP Mode.
