update error code 800401E4

I keep getting error code 800401E4 when installing updates. I am running Window 7 Home Premium for x64. Update is KB976932 plus 5 optional updates. The Fix-it doesn't fix it..

Let us know the KB number of the updates that you are trying to install on the system. Follow the steps mentioned in the article given below.

Method 1:

You can try to download the updates manually and then install it on the system and check but before installing the updates on the system I would suggest you to do a clean boot and then install it and check. Follow step 1 that is mentioned below.

Perform a Clean boot and check whether the issue is resolved.
