Windows Installer does not permit updating of managed advertised products. At least one feature of the product must be installed before applying the update.

I get this message when I try to install Adobe Reader. I uninstalled and reinstalled Windows 7 SP 1, but I still get this error message when trying to install Adobe Reader. Any help resolving this is appreciated.
