Undo file association for .lnk extension to original setting of "Unknown Program"

I got interrupted and changed the file association on the .lnk extension to my browser.  Now all shortcuts open with the browser.
I need to restore that file association to Unknown Program.

Tried running system restore but it fails due to unknown reasons but probably due to a call to a .lnk file (?)

Any guidance on editing the registry to correct this errow would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Got the answer to my own question, but for those of you having issues with file associations in Windows 7, which does not offer a delete or remove function, see this link:

Download the unassoc zipfile and follow instructions.  Worked like a charm.
