Unable to install Companion link, Error 2753. The file "companionlink.exe" is not marked for installation

Original Title: Error 2753.  The file "companionlink.exe" is not marked for installation

I have been trying to install Companion Link on my computer so I can sync my cell phone and my outlook email and calendar.  I had this on my old computer and it worked just fine.  I lap linked my programs over to my new computer and Companion Link is not working correctly so I need to reinstall.  I get "Error 2753.  The file "companionlink.exe" is not marked for installation" every time I try to reinstall it.  I have tried cleaning the registry and going to command prompt and typed in "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" as was suggested in one forum.  I am at my wits end.  I have to get something fixed.
