Simply accounting not compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium

i run a small business, i was using the newest version of simply accounting for windows XP. i upgraded my computer to a new dell and chose windows 7 home version as my operating system. I then found out windows 7 does not operate all xp compatible programs. I read on microsoft that windows 7 PRO was designed to cut upgrading costs for small business's and would open and operate popular work programs, so i upgraded to PRO but still cannot load my accounting program. I have a simply accounting UPGRADE for windows seven, but i have to install the basic program before i can install the upgrade. So the problem is, if you can't install the original program, you can't install the upgradeDoes anyone have an answer?

Hi,

Here is the list of simply accounting programs that are compatible with Windows 7, here is the link:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&type=Software&s=simply%20accounting

If the program is not listed in Windows 7compatibility list or it is not compatible with Windows7, then you can try installing the program in compatibility mode and check if it helps, here is the link:

Hello,

Yes Windows 7 Pro is designed to cut costs.  This is due to the fact that you can download and runXP Mode free of charge.  This will allow you to run XP right within your Windows 7 install as a Virtual Machine and run the software that is not compatible with Windows 7.  This is an option for you if you do not wish to purchase new software that is compatible.
