Hi Arun,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

From your description, I see that you are getting the following error: run time error 339 mscomm32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered. Run time Error 339 is caused when a program registers a need for a specific file in the Windows registry. I will be glad to assist you.

Please answer the following questions:
1. Did you make any changes on the computer prior to this issue?
2. When exactly do you get this error message?

3. Are you running 32bit or 64 bit operating system?

I would suggest
to re-register the file: 'mscomm32.ocx' and check if it helps.

Re-register comdlg32.ocx file from an elevated command prompt and check.

a. Open an administrator command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

b. Type each of the following commands at the command prompt, and then press ENTER after each command:

regsvr32 /u mscomm32.ocx

regsvr32 /i mscomm32.ocx

If you have any further queries, or if this issue persists, post back here and we will be glad to help.
