Misplaced window after disconnecting second moniter

I usually use 2 moniters on my laptop, but I am travelling and do not have the 2nd moniter. At least one of my programs is nice enough to remmeber where I opened it last, unfortunately it was on my 2nd screen and I cannot get it back onto my main screen now.

I have tried alt + tabbing and alt+ space + m + arrow key and moving the mouse, cascading the windows and resetting my screen setup.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
