Question

Q: USB setting is enable in BIOS This thread is locked from future replies

i get mentioned message when i open program (MGI PhotoSuite III SE) to use my scanner (Microtek ScanMaker 3630). This program worked perfectly with XP and i re-installed it on my Windows 7.  The PhotoSuite program also works perfectly now,  except the actual scan-function. If i want to scan then i get the message, that i must check if "USB setting is enable in BIOS" and i don't know where to look for this, or where/how to check/set it.  Please help, i am desperate!  kind regards, jenny.

Answer

A:

If you have an installation disk for XP, you can install XP in a virtual machine with Virtualboxhttp://www.virtualbox.org/ or VMware Playerhttp://www.vmware.com/products/player/ and scan in that.

I assume you do not have Professional or Ultimate so installing XP Mode is not an option.

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.
