Hi,

·         Does this happen only when uninstalling Skype or other programs as well?

You may try to unregister re-register Windows Installer and check if that helps.

a)   ClickStart, in search window type 'run' and ENTER, typeMSIEXEC /UNREGISTER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs.

b)   ClickStart, in search window type 'run' and ENTER, type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do this correctly, it may look like nothing occurs, or you may briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete.

c)    Try to uninstall Skype and check what happens.
