Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component: Trying to install CorelDraw X5

Win 7 64, Sony Vaio. I have Net 4 installed (previous issues were reported with Net 2 on an earlier OS).

Product: Trying to install CorelDraw Suite X5.

I uninstalled my AntiVirus Software, rebooted, defraged, ran a registry repair, ran as administrator. Tried using two files from different sites. Searched the www for any clues including Corel Forums.

Anyone have a clue as to the problem???

----------------------------------------
I "think" the problem is with the MSI installer, but don't know why others have not had any problems .

Is this a digital download of Corel Draw 5? You might need to download the entire suite again, since it might be corrupt. Go http://www.corel.com and download the trial, if you own a valid license, you should be able to use your serial and convert it to a full version. If the problem persist, try installing the suite in Compatibility mode:

You can find more information about compatibility modes in the articles below:

Andre, thanks for your reply. I tried all that. What happened... as I was searching for solutions, I began having problems with my FireFox browser, then my IE browser. Then I noticed other stability problems. Not sure what was causing it, but I decided to just go ahead and restore my Win 7 to original factory condition and X5 installed without a hitch. I didn't load Net 4 until after the install, so I don't know if that was what was causing problems or if it was just my entire system. I think that a program that backs-up my data online in real time might be causing the stability problems. Anyway, five hours later, I got it working and I don't think it was a Corel problem.

Again, thanks. You offered good advice!
