Windows XP to Windows 7 upgrade license

I've read there will be an upgrade license for going from Windows XP to Windows 7.  What are the requirements/restrictions around this license?  Will the retail upgrade packages allows XP to 7 upgrades or will this license have to be acquired some other way?

I've got systems running Windows XP Home OEM, Windows XP Pro OEM and Windows XP Media Center 2005 Retail.  What sort of licenses will I need?

Any Windows 7 Upgrade license can be used to install Windows 7 on a computer that is currently running Windows XP.  First, you cannot boot directly from the Windows 7 Upgrade DVD.  What you need to do is boot to the Windows XP desktop, insert the Windows 7 Upgrade DVD in the DVD drive, then select "Custom Install" to begin a "clean Install" of Windows 7.
