Whats the difference? Windows 7 SP1 vs. Windows 7 SP1 Debug/Check Build?

What specifically is the difference in the Windows 7 Pro with Service Pack 1 (vs) Windows 7 Pro with Service Pack 1 Debug Checked Build? I have the option to download either one but is one more unstable than the other? What's the major difference here?

Answer
Hi,

The regular build is the usual retail version of Windows as most of us use (SP1 or not).

The Debug/Check build is specifically for developers which has the debug flag set to make it easier for
drivers to be developed. This build runs a lot slower due to removal of optimizations and other functions.

Hope this helps.
