Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary
technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a
Microsoft Agent or
Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an
official
Microsoft global customer service number.
i want to use my windows 7 ultimate upgrade cause i was going to use it on a computer that broke. Now i want to use it as a virtual machine but i need a full version and then do a anytime upgrade to ultimate.I want the cheapest windows os to be able to
use a ultimate virtual machine.I was wondering if i could use windows 7 starter or windows vista basic.by the way i want to do this on a imac.
Windows 7 Starter is an OEM product that is bundled with new systems only. Windows Vista Home Basic is a retail product, so you could use that in a virtual machine if you are able to obtain a license for it. Windows 7 Home Basic is sold in certain emerging
markets such as India and contains certain activation restrictions.
