Upgrading from 32bit windows xp pro to 64 bit windows 7 using just the windows 7 64bit upgrade dvd
Hi all, I have a 64-bit capable pc running 32 bit xp professional currently. I am a college student and is applicable to buy a Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium/Professional Upgrade but can only choose either the 32bit or 64bit version (only one). I am
planning to get the Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Do anyone know if there will be any issue in installation? Especially whether the windows 7 64bit DVD will recognise and acknowledge the 32 bit windows xp pro as a suitable criteria (of upgrading) before it do a clean install on my pc?
I understood that it will need a clean install but not sure as to whether the 'upgrade' version will work based on a 32bit vista home premium.
