Reusing Windows 7 license after free upgrade to Windows 10?

Hi All!

I was wondering if I will be free to reuse my Windows 7 license key after the free upgrade to Windows 10 this July 29th. 

I already reserved my copy, and yes I'm quite excited. The only issue I see is because this is an OEM version of Windows 7 for Sony VAIO, so maybe it won't be compatible if I use it in a new computer? If I can at all?

Hi,

Your present Windows 7 OEM License becomes part of the Upgrade to Windows 10 process.

So you can not reinstall Windows 7 either as a dual boot in your Sony or move it to another machine.

OEM Licenses you can not transfer anyway.

OEM Licenses are tied to the first machine they are installed on and die when that machine dies.
