Installing windows 7 RC onto a eSATA drive posible?

 i have 2 hardrive one with vista as my primary and one connected to a esata bracket(Not onboard controller) that i would like to to install win7 rc on, i know it not supported support by ms but is it possible at all? the drive is detected and showing durring setup unfortunatly don't allow me to be install to this drive i get this msg 
"Windowws cannot be installed to this disk.this computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk's
Ensure that the disk's controller is enable in bios menu."

why is that disk not recognized as a bootable disk?

From the nature of the error message, it sounds like you may want to set the esata drive up a the first boot device in your BIOS. If you change the esata up as the first boot device (either as USB bootable device or however it's connected to the computer, if your BIOS offers that option) it should install and create a boot manager to allow you to choose Vista or Win7 at startup.

You might check the mobo manufacturers website to see if a firmware/BIOS update is available if it doesn't work.
