How do I remove HP Protect Tools Security Center so that I can install Windows 7?

 I'm told to uninstall protect tools center through add/remove programs..however it will not let you uninstall that program..iIran the window 7 check before i purchased it and my computer was updateable..I also have a message saying to uninstall ATI catalyst..which I was able to do..wont I have to reinstall that after I upgrade.  I have also tried contacting HP for answers.  Please reply.  Thanks!

First thing, visit HP site, specific for your model and see if win7 drivers are available, dont rely on win7 upgrade advisor (speaking from experience)

You can allways install via a clean install once you have booted from the win7 dvd

Try using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall it:

It will scan the registry and file system for any leftover parts of the installation.  You can find Revo Uninstaller at RevoUninstaller.com (freeware).

You should be able to get updated drivers for your ATI video card from either http://www.hp.com or http://www.amd.com
