"Counterfeit Windows 7" Error Message On An Activated Genuine OEM Windows 7

I've successfully installed and activated my copy of Windows 7 Home Premium(32-bit) on my Lenovo 3000 Y300 laptop. It was running for abt 2 to 3 months now. Suddenly, today when I start up my lappy, I was greeted with a shocking message that says: Your copy of Windows 7 might be counterfeit. And it gave me 2 options: 1) enter another key and 2) activate/reactivate my copy(if I'm not mistaken). But, instead I chose "cancel" at the bottom right-hand corner of the message box. Now, it seems to be working fine.

So, guys, is there any explanation to the abovementioned error message and what caused it to appear in the first place? I'm also running Norton 360 Version 3. And everything is up to date, as far as Windows and Norton 360 is concerned. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you and help me.

The product key should be on the bottom of your laptop. Write this key code down as store it with your other Lenovo documentation (these stickers have a nasty habbit of falling off.

If you should see the "counterfeit" message again.
