can i dowmload windows 8 without an iso image

i don,,t want to download the iso image

The web installer is currently not available. So if you want to install Windows 8 using the .ISO

Three step process to burn a good installation DVD

1) Windows 8 Release Preview ISO images – Download and create your bootable DVD from here:

64-bit (x64) Download (3.3 GB) Sha 1 hash — 0xD76AD96773615E8C504F63564AF749469CFCCD57

32-bit (x86) Download (2.5 GB) Sha 1 hash — 0x8BED436F0959E7120A44BF7C29FF0AA962BDEFC9

Product Key: TK8TP-9JN6P-7X7WW-RFFTV-B7QPF

2) Verify the ISO file is not corrupted: Download and install SlavaSoft's HashCalc

For Windows .ISO file just place check marks in the SHA1 and CRC32 boxes.

In the main HashCalc Window the 'Data format' box located in the upper left should be set to "File"

In the 'Data' field click on the ... box located in the upper right and then click 'Cancel' if you get an 'Insert Disk' window pop up.

After you click 'cancel' you should see a 'Find' window. Use this to navigate to the folder where your .ISO file is stored and click on the file.

You should now see the .ISO file you clicked on listed in the 'File name' box located near the bottom of the 'Find' window.

Now click the 'Open' button. The Data field should now show the directory/folder path and the name of the .ISO file you selected.

With only the SHA1 and CRC32 boxes checked (Do not place check marks in any other boxes as this can slow down the time it take to calculate the values) click the 'Calculate' button located at the bottom of the main HashCalc window.

It will take anywhere from 30 to 60 seconds for the calculation to complete and the SHA1 and CRC32 data values to be displayed.

The reported values are not case sensitive, so a lower case 'a' is the same as an upper case 'A' as far as the results are concerned and should match what I have posted.

3) ImgBurn - In addtion to supporting the creation of Cds/DVDs from .ISO files,
it supports a wide range of other image file formats, and it's free.

Note: Always use the slowest burn speed (4 or 8x) and use high quality DVD+R media.

For complete list of multilingual downloads, you can head to download Windows 8 Release Preview (All Languages). This post recommends Microsoft tool Windows 7 USB/DVD tool for burning purposes.

By the way if you want to be pretty sure about the download links, you can head towards
Microsoft Windows 8 ISO download page.

Depending on the edition you are running, you can preserve your personal files, applications and settings. Regardless of that, I strongly recommend you dual boot with your existing operating system instead of replacing it with the Windows 8 Release Preview. The Release Preview is still under heavy development and you should not replace a production copy of Windows with it (whether that be XP, Vista or Windows 7).
