After 6-7 months of use, Windows 7 is now saying that it's not genuine randomly.

I purchased Win7 Pro online 6-7 months ago, installed and have been using ever since, even validated Win7 upon installation and I get Win7 Updates, etc.

All of a sudden today will using Win7, a flag popped up stating my copy of Windows maybe a Victim of Software Counterfeiting.

How is this possible after having an Activated Validated Copy, have the Product Key and ID numbers.

Thank you, Doc

Answer

According to your MGA Report:

Windows Product ID: 00371-220-4098597-86176

The reason you are now having a non-genuine issue is because the Windows 7 Professional product key was discovered to be a "not-for-resale" MSDN subscription product key.  You should contact the seller and demand a 100% refund!  You can visit Genuine Microsoft Advantage and click on  Validate Windows and when validation fails, follow the prompts to learn how to acquire a WGA Kit.
