windows 7 upgrade

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop at Best Buy 3 months ago.  The unit had Vista installed and Best Buy said that I could get a Windows 7 upgrade at N/C when available.  I called Best Buy and they will install 7 for $40 (this was not disclosed when I purchased the computer).  They then said I could download 7 for N/C on the Microsoft web site.  I've tried to do that with with no results.  What can I do and what recourse do I have with Best Buy?

Thanks,
Claybball

They are wrong on several fronts. About the only thing correct is that the upgrade is free. You must go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy/offers/upgrade-option.aspx. Find Toshiba on the list, click on it and you have to fill in the blanks. There will be a P&P charge. There should have been a link on the desktop of the PC somewhere. I too bought a new Toshiba and I had a link. This is the only way to get the upgrade.
