I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional.  Prior to that I was running Windows 7 RC.  Before the installation, I cloned my C drive to an external USB drive.  Can I use easy file transfer to install all my programs ans settings?  If so, what's the easiet way to do it?

Answer

A:

You cannot use Windows Easy Transfer to install programs, but you can use it to restore backed personal files and settings. If you did a System Image of your Windows installation, you can restore it, since it backs up the entire installation of Windows, including programs and settings along with personal files.
