CD/DVD driver is missing, just installed windows 7

i just installed the windows 7 ultimate 64 bit into my laptop yesterday. my laptop will not read the cd/dvd driver and when i tried to install the drivers on it. i noticed a yellow caution sign on it and it would not update the driver. i have tried everything i've read on your forums so far and nothing seems to work. can you please help me out..it is getting me very frustrated and i would love to continue to work with windows 7 because i think other then that its great. i have a compaq pesario 7100.

Can't See DVD Drive In Windows 7

1. Click Start, type: Device Manager
2. Click Enter
3. Expand your DVD/CD listing in the device manager tree
4. Right click the optical drive
5. Click Uninstall
6. Restart the system and see if it can find the DVD drive now
