Question

Q: Windows 7 does not detect USB connected Creative USB Sound Blaster External Sound Card

My External Sound Blaster card SB0490 works on my XP machine.
When connected to my Windows 7 machine almost everything except Creative MediaSource Player gives the error message "The audio device suppported by this application is not detected"
The MediaSouce Player works ok.
The driver is USB_W7DRV_LB_1_01_0099
The USB Bus Controller is "USB Composite Device" using Driver file usbccgp.sys version 6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255).
An update search confirms this driver software is up to date.
The Windows 7 Compatibility Center reports "Information coming soon" for this hardware.
Has anybody a solution?
