CD/DVD Driver issues in the beginning of Windows 7 64-bit Pro install. Installer will not let me move on until I find a driver for my DVD drive.

  • The only drivers I can get to show up on the list are 64-bit drivers.
  • I'm upgrading from 32-bit so it won't let me use my Vista cdrom drivers.
  • I have a Sony Optiarc RW AD-7170S Firmware 1.03 DVD drive
  • I created the Bootable ISO myself because of the issue with the DigitalRiver install
  • I burned the ISO on 2 discs at 2 differnt speeds, didn't fix it.
  • DVD is plugged into a SataRAID PCI card.
I'm almost sure it'll let me through if I can get my hands on the basic 64-bit cdrom drivers. I can't even find them online though.

Restart the computer. Just before the system loads the Windows operating system; hit the [F8] Function 8 key on your keyboard which will launch the Advanced Boot Options menu. Disable driver signing and try again.
