Windows 7 Home Premium DVD not recognized by Windows Vista Home Premium DVD Drive

I'm trying to upgrade from Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Home Premium.  I placed the disc in the DVD drive but the system does not recognize or boot the disc.  Other DVDs load fine.  Any suggestions on what may be happening and how I can get Vista to recognize the software?

Thanks,

Dave

You mention booting from the DVD.

You are not doing a clean install; you are upgrading.

This is the Vista Install Forum.
