Window Easy Transfer & Disc space

I just upgraded to Windows 7 professional from Vista home edition and was required to do a custom installation. Before installing, I moved the contents of the C drive to an external drive using Windows Easy Transfer, as Microsoft recommended. Now when I try to use Easy Transfer to move files back to the C drive, I get an error message that reads: " “There isn’t enough  disc space available to transfer your files and settings.” Easy Transfer has 16.3 GB to move, and the C drive reports having  203 GB available. The F drive has 231 GB available, and the D: Recovery has 3.05 GB available (out of 14.6 GB). What's the problem with Easy  Transfer's moving these files back to C? More importantly, what's the solution?! Thanks!
