Question

Q: Back To Win Vista

Hello,

I installed Win 7 Upgrade over Windows Vista. But unfortunately not very well. All Programs are gone, but I still have the "Windows.Old" Folder and now I want to get back to Vista.

I´ve found the following instruction: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971760/de , but when I type in the command "move /y..." after pressing the enter button, it says "Access is denied" and I do not know why.

How can I get full access for it? The Net Admin is active, but that shouldn´t influence the commands because I start the "repair-program" from the DVD.

Please, give me tips...I´ll became crazy....

Greets

Marc

Hi,

Are you entering the commands in WinRE Command prompt?

To take ownership and grant full permission to yourself you can enter the following command in Command Prompt in the WinRE
(recovery environment) mode.

Attrib –h –s –r <foldername>

After taking ownership, try to move the files again by following the steps given in the KB article.
