I have several desktops on our network that have a problem with the PRINT SPOOLER services which keeps stopping, with the Event ID 1000 Application Error:

I have tried deleting the offending file, but it 'magically' reappears when the print spooler is restarted. And a few seconds later, this file will crash again and the spooler stops. How do I get out of this loop?
We only have networked HP LaserJet printers and the print servers are Serve 2008 R2 machines. No local printers. All printers and desktops have been working fine with this config for some months.
