Q: Windows 7 Pro: STOP 0x0000007F

Recently installed Windows 7 Professional on my girlfriend's Acer AOA150 netbook. It runs fine, drivers-wise and performance-wise etc. The only problem is that it keeps BSOD'ing with the error:

STOP 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I've searched everywhere and can't find anything relevant. The only thing I did find was a problem in  Windows 2000 as detailed here:
You receive a "STOP 0x7F" error in Windows 2000

I have run the memory diagnostic tool, and the driver verifier tool. They both reveal no problems. The machine has been sent back to Acer to check for any faults and there are none.

Any advice? I wanted to contact Microsoft via phone but they charge a lot of money for this which is unfair seeing as it's likely their fault anyway!

A RAM and Mobo replacement seems to have cured this problem.

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.
