Windows 7 64bit, Hard System Crashes, w/ no bluescreens. Event log shows this some 10 times:Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99 0x80041003

The system was unstable and I thought it was because of some slight OC settings, but after resetting to defaults it persists.

With a fresh install of Windows 7, and current updates. This is the error that shows up after a hard crash with no blue screen.
"squiggle vga lines, resets"

 Event log shows this some 10 times:Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99 0x80041003

Answer
Hi,

1. Does the computer crash on a particular application

I'd suggest you follow these steps and check if the issue persists.

Step 1:

Step 2:

If the issue does not appear in safe mode, then there must be a third party software that is causing the issue to occur, hence I'd suggest you to put your computer in a Clean Boot state.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: Put your computer back to normal mode (Step 7).

Step 3:

Check your drives for any errors.

Chkdsk disclaimer.

Important:  If any data available on the hard drive might be lost, When performing chkdsk, as the chkdsk tries to repair that affected sector.
