Win 7 blue screen after Windows Update

My HP laptop with Win 7 Premium Home (64B) has been running stable for over two years, Last week after a windows update it started bsod. After days of unsuccesful attempts I used my factory recovery discs to totally re-install/re-format machine, It was stable and the first (and only) thing I did was windows update. After downloading and installing the 162 updates, it started bsod after re-start. It runs stable in safe mode so the problem is clearly with a windows update component. How do I troubleshoot and how do I get the minidump file (268KB) to you? BTW, It did not install SP1 during update.

Note: The Chkdsk scan will try to identify and repair and bad sectors found on the hard drive. Any data present on these sectors might be lost in the process. The computer can also go into a no boot state. Proceed at your own risk.

Hope this helps!!
