how do i wipe my laptop as its a windows 7 starter

and it doesnt have the disk drive

Wow, Jennifer.  You could always remove the hard drive and give a few good whacks with a sledge hammer.  :-)  There're programs that you could try at|&filterName=platform=Windows|  but you're totally on your own if you use any of them.  Some of them would completely erase everything on the hard drive including Windows.

One thing I've done in the past is to delete all the data I know about (most of it should be in your documents folder), then do a defrag.  The only problem with this approach is that if you miss something you don't want others to see, it could still be there.

You could download an ISO file from and make a bootable flash drive, then download any drivers you'd need from Asus, then reinstall Windows, but that's a fair amount of work and might require skills you don't have.

When you get a new computer, put a lot of thought into backing your hard drive to an external hard drive and what you'll need to have to restore to factory settings.  If you exercise that ounce of prevention, it will save having to go for the pound of cure you need now.

 Good luck.
